Unfortunately, contrary to other countries in Europe and worldwide, in Holland testing for inherited diseases in Norwich Terriers has only just started. The Dutch Norwich Terrier club only requires its members to test their dogs for a one-off cataract and a distichiasis test.Apart from this, the Advisory Board for Dogs in Holland, has decreed that only the DNA profile of the dog has to be determined, which in itself has nothing to do with the health of the dog.
All our dogs are tested on:
- Upper Airway System (UAS)
- Inherited eye diseases
- Luxating Patella
When we have bred puppies, their future owners will have total insight of all the official test results.
We are happy to inform you further about the above mentioned health problems.
